Whatever reason has brought you here today, we want you to know there’s one thing common to everything we do. It’s the wonder of hot glass—that runs like liquid honey—and the beauty that emerges from a blob. This material has captured the human imagination for over 4,000 years. It all began when people in Mesopotamia chose to mix sand, soda and lime together. Their innovation has become intrinsic to our daily lives—whether you’re gazing out a window or having a sip of something.

Scientists refer to glass as a rigid liquid. We see it as an exciting dance with heat, ancient tools and our artists’ hands partnering with a substance that has a life of its own. There is endless motion, endless change until a piece is put in the annealer to cool. Then, there’s the finishing work that ranges from a basic smoothing of the bottom surface to elaborate exturing and hand finishing.

Each piece of glass is created right here at fascapple glass studio, crafted with care from our hands to yours. The work reflects not only our passion, but also the beauty and individuality that blown and sculpted glass embodies.
